Program Collective was one of 9 teams short-listed from over 100 applicants to submit fully visualized and feasibility-tested conceptual proposals for exhibitions, public spaces, retail and brand elements in a planned visitors center for the European Union Parliament in Brussels.
One of a dozen exhibition concepts developed by Palmer and Program Collective was the immersive game YOU+ME, which encourages people who speak different languages to work together cooperatively at a visceral, essential level. Although the rules aren’t at first clear, the game is devised to promote cooperation. As people figure out the methodology of a communal digital construction they build increasingly larger positive emoticons. Such as–
